Dudley Takes Third FLW Angler of the Year Title

PLATTSBURGH, NY- Earlier in the season, Castrol pro David Dudley told the crowd attending the Walmart FLW Tour at Beaver Lake to "watch out at Lake Champlain." Dudley's prophetic statement seems to have come true as he led a field of the bass pros in the world for the third straight day at the Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Champlain Presented by Chevy.

Jonathon VanDam Named New Bassmaster Elite Series Champion in Green Bay

B.A.S.S. Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Jonathon VanDam Green Bay Bass Fishing Tournament

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Four days on Lake Michigan produced four different tournament leaders at the Bassmaster Elite Series Green Bay Challenge. But it was the leader at the end of today’s final competition round who takes home the trophy, $100,000 in first-place prize money and an automatic berth in the 2013 Bassmaster Classic. That distinction belongs to Jonathon VanDam of Kalamazoo, Mich., who bested 97 of the best bass anglers in the world with a four-day catch of smallmouth bass weighing 79 pounds, 2 ounces.

Faircloth Takes Mississippi River Rumble

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Time was running out. About 15 minutes to go before he had to call it a day, Todd Faircloth hooked into a solid 3-pounder. And even though he had led for two days, only then did he feel that maybe, just maybe, he had nailed the Mississippi River Rumble in La Crosse, Wis.

“Summer Deep Structure Fishing” , Chat, Tuesday, June 26th, at 8:30pm EST

Deep Structure Summer Bass Fishing Offshore Deep Water

As the waters across the nation heat up under the summer sun, fish generally move in two directions - up into shallow cover or out deep into off shore structure.

While pitching and flipping to shoreline cover can be tremendously fun and produce some large fish, the largest concentrations of fish can generally be found out deeper.

Understanding how to read electronics is a key to finding these fish. Once the fish are found, there are many methods that can be used to get them in the livewell. The anglers who have a thorough understanding of "Summer Deep Structure Fishing" will remain productive even during the hot dog days of summer.

If you understand how to find and fish deep structure, please come join us and share your experiences and tips. If you are unfamiliar with off shore fishing, come join us, ask questions and add another arsenal to your bass fishing repertoire.

Please come chat with us Tuesday, June 26th, as we discuss “Summer Deep Structure Fishing” - ask questions, share your opinions and advice and join in the fun times with everyone. You are also more than welcome to just kick back, relax and read everyone's chat. Feel free to take notes if you wish. There will be a lot of useful information shared for sure. Members will start arriving after 8PM Eastern and chat will start officially at 8:35PM Eastern Time and 7:35PM Central Time.

To join us, just be sure to be logged into the forums and click the "BASS CHAT" button in the top navigation bar.

I look forward to seeing everyone in chat Tuesday night.

Bassmaster Elite Series pros to rumble on the Mississippi River

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Because he grew up on the Arkansas River, pro angler Billy McCaghren is considered one of the Bassmaster Elite Series' "river rats." The term doesn't imply he's a bad guy, only that he knows and loves to fish rivers.
